New Condensation Monitor Series EE46 from E+E Elektronik
|
Cooling ceilings, critical areas in HVAC and technical installations, which are operating close to the dewpoint temperature, need an early alarm system against the forming of moisture, because of the potential danger of condensation. The new condensation monitor EE46 from E+E Elektronik is specially designed for such applications and can be installed in a few seconds on pipelines, walls, and ceilings. The early detection of “danger of condensation” and as a result the immediate start of counter measures renders this product as very significant ...

New Contact-Free Capacitive Level Switch Allows for Complete Media Compatibilit
|
Sensortechnics’ new CLW series detects point levels of liquids
and granular or pulverised materials without contacting the media. The
user can easily adjust a high and low switch point with a hysteresis of
less than 25 mm. The CLW device uses a new non-invasive capacitive
sensor technology and allows for complete media compatibility and
sterility. Due to its miniature size these level switches can be
perfectly integrated into OEM devices. The CLW sensor can be mounted to
the outside of a container or vessel and is able to measure through
almost any non-metallic wall material. The level switch is highly
flexible and can be easily calibrated to measure to the desired levels,
media and application set-up. The CLW series achieves a very high
accuracy and reliability due to an additional reference electrode which
compensates for all changes in ambient environmental conditions such as
temperature and humidity. Additionally, Sensortechnics can also provide
continuously measuring level sensors based on the same contact-free
capacitive technology

Hermetic Switch Introduces New Proximity Sensors
|
12 January 2010, Chickasha, OK (USA) - Hermetic Switch, Inc., a designer and manufacturer of reed switches, proximity sensors and other switch technologies, has introduced two new cylindrical (tubular) proximity sensors. Hermetic’s PRX+3800 (Form B) and PRX+3900 (Form C) magnetic sensors deliver all the advantages of reed switch sensing technology but with smaller physical dimensions than previously available. These new sensors respond to the market need for components with smaller footprints, as size reduction trends continue in the systems and devices utilizing proximity sensors. These new sensors from Hermetic can be used in automation, control, or detection in a broad array of applications – including safety, security, alarm, equipment, machinery, manufacturing and processing systems – in industrial, commercial, medical, corporate, government or military settings ...

Ultra Low Range Precision Load Cells
|
Sherborne Sensors has announced the North American launch of the SS2/SS3 series, a family of ultra-low range precision load cells, designed for aerospace, automotive, medical, R&D and general industry applications where extremely low force measurements are required. The SS2/SS3 series offers full range measurement capabilities to 60 grams, with a 12mV/V full scale output and virtually infinite resolution, enabling low forces to be resolved down to just a fraction of one gram. Bonded semiconductor strain gage technology confers excellent sensitivity, and eliminates the fragility associated with non-bonded strain gage types. The robust design of the SS2/SS3 series features excellent immunity to the effects of eccentric loading, side loading and bending moments, with added versatility of precision measurement capabilities in either tension or compression mode. Low deflection and high-frequency response characteristics of the SS2/SS3 series are suitable for measuring both peak and transient forces over an operating temperature range of -20 to +90 °C ...

The well established Kistler press force sensors are based on the piezoelectric measuring principle. The force acting on the quartz element generates at the output of the sensor a proportional electric charge, which is converted by the series-connected measuring amplifier (such as ICAM Type 5073A) into a process signal suitable for evaluation (typically 0 ...10 V). The new sensor Type 9383A extends Kistler's successful series of piezoelectric press force sensors. The sensor preloaded ready for mounting with the three standardly calibrated measuring ranges of 0 ... 3 kN, 0 ... 30 kN and 0 … 300 kN is ideal for measuring both dynamic and quasistatic forces ...
