Abstract: Electric furnace roof is an important device for electric steel making, whose heat preservation performance and life-span have a direct impact on the economic benefits of iron and steel enterprise. Considered the characteristics of casting process, this paper optimizes the casting material parameters using ANSYS optimization module. Research indicates that we can get a better performance of electric furnace roof by using appropriate technical means to deploy the ratio of the composition of casting material reasonably. To a certain extent, this research provides theoretical support for study of casting material.
