Seismic Responses of Oscillatory System on Rigid Half Circular Platform

Abstract: The seismic disturbance is often complex waves with several different frequencies, it is very important for the ground vibration transducer to analyze the disturbance frequency components in order to predict the earthquake disaster and the occurrence of the earthquake. But due to the mutual effects between the ground and the transducer, It is a complex elastic wave coupling problem which has not been discussed so far. In this paper, the Wave function expansion method, Newtonian dynamics equation and the vibration theory are used to study the responses of the oscillatory system attaching to the half circular rigid platform with half circular lining surrounding outside it, the theoretical solution of the problem is obtained, the researches show that the incident wave angle has no effect to the responses of the transducer because of the lining and there is a little difference between the displacement responses of the ground with or without the existence of the transducer, the results of the given examples show the correctness of the conclusions obtained here.
