Model 377A60 Random Incidence Microphone with Sensitivity of 50 mV/Pa
January 23, 2006, Depew, NY, USA - The Vibration Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc. (PCB®) introduced Model 377A60 externally polarized, 1/2" Random Incidence (Diffuse Field) type microphone. The distinguishing feature of this model is its enhanced sensitivity of 50 mV/Pa. It has wide dynamic range (15 to 146 dB (A) re 20mPa) and a frequency range from 3.15 Hz to 10,000 Hz (+/- 2 dB). This traditional type condenser microphone has a +150 °C (+302 °F) operating temperature range, and -when combined with the PCB Model 426A30 preamplifier -can operate from a 200 V power supply for externally polarized microphones. This traditional-style microphone preamplifier terminates in a 7-pin LEMO style connector.
In addition to its traditional 200V models, PCB carries a full line of modern, pre-polarized, condenser microphones and preamplifiers. Powered by a 2 to 20 mA signal conditioner and standard coaxial cables, these modern designs allow for significant savings in power supply and cabling cost, greater ease-of-use and operate from the same power required for ICP® accelerometers. This provides the advantage of using microphones with ICP® accelerometers in the same test, with the same signal conditioning equipment, minimizing set-up time.
