23 January 2012, Barcelona, Spain – Technology Assistance BCNA 2010 S. L., a start-up, small-medium enterprise, has won the Best Sensors Products Award 2011.
Every year this award is given for the most interesting from innovation point of view sensor related products by the Sensors & Transducer magazine published by International Frequency Sensor Association (IFSA). All nominated products have passed a two-stage selection: fist – for a press release publication as ‘a choice of the month’ in the Sensors & Transducers Magazine as most interesting and relevant products; second - as most innovative products among all published in the Magazine during 2011.
“We are happy, that our Series of Universal Sensors and Transducers USTI integrated circuit has been selected by Sensors & Transducers’ editors among the 10 Top Sensors Products 2011. This IC is intended for any sensors and transducers with frequency, period, duty-cycle, time interval, PWM, phase-shift, pulse number output as well as resistive, capacitive and resistive bridge sensing elements. The IC has 29 measuring modes, high metrological performances and wide functionalities. The USTI lets easily to design digital, smart sensors and intelligent sensor systems,” – said Mr. Javier Cañete – a company CEO.
“It is our second the Best Sensor Products Award. The first one we have got in 2010 for our Series of Universal Frequency-to-Digital Converters (UFDC-1 and UFDC-1M-16)” – added Mr. Cañete.

(TAB) is a small-medium enterprise, founded in 2010 in Barcelona, Spain after very success European Project ‘Smart Sensors Systems Design’ (MEXT-CT-2005-023991 SMARTSES) in the frame of Marie Curie Chairs Excellence (EXC) programme with the aim to design, develop and promote new measuring and sensing technologies, based on novel, advanced methods of measurements of frequency-time parameters of signals.
One of the main objectives of TAB is to reduce existing gap between research and industry by introducing a new generation of cost effective smart sensing technology and to establish our digital measuring technology and it's advantages as alternative to common analogue measuring principles to enter the large application potential in sensor technology. It is a basis for a new technological platform for smart sensor systems integration.
