New Portable TEDS PDA Reader/Writer
March 8, 2005, Depew, NY - New portable Model 400A87 TEDS PDA Reader/Writer, from the Electronics Division of PCB Piezotronics, Inc., enables reading and writing to IEEE 1451.4 compliant TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet) transducers, using a PDA device. TEDS are mixed mode (analog/digital), self-identifying transducers that contain fields that fully describe the type, operation, and attributes of the transducer, and are typically used in large channel count testing applications.
New Model 400A87 TEDS PDA Reader/Writer allows the user to display the contents of the transducer's TEDS memory chip, and to write user-specific information to the memory chip. The unit shows the entire transducer data sheet in full detail, and transducer sensitivity can be displayed in either SI or English units. Device supports templates for IEEE P1451.4 Version 0.9, newly released IEEE 1451.4 Version 1.0, and LMS International templates 117 and 118.
