Vibration Spectrum Analyzer and Data Acquisition Module
The Datastick DAS-1258 is a small, lightweight peripheral that attaches securely to the back of a Palm handheld. When combined with Datastick software, the appropriate cable, and the user’s ICP® accelerometers, it becomes the first complete, PDA-based multipurpose instrument for vibration analysis and analog data acquisition for ICP accelerometers and other sensors. The DAS-1258 comes with Datastick Spectrum and Datastick Connection Lite software applications. The DAS-1258 can also accommodate low-power, non-ICP accelerometers such as those manufactured by Crossbow, and a wide variety of analog sensors for general-purpose data acquisition.
Vibration Analysis. When used with Datastick Spectrum software and ICP accelerometers or low-power, non-ICP accelerometers such as those manufactured by Crossbow, the DAS-1258 becomes a vibration analyzer displaying Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) snapshots in thirteen selectable ranges up to 5 KHz, at a single-sided-spectrum resolution of up to 1024 points, with nine windowing options. A Palm Tungsten T or C handheld is required for FFT displays.
Data Acquisition. When used with a wide variety of analog sensors or ICP sensors and the appropriate Datastick Connection software program, the DAS-1258 permits data acquisition in real time at lower speeds or in capture-and-review mode at moderate speeds. Datastick Connection Lite software is included at no charge.
