Dynamic Pressure Sensors Enhance Gas Turbine Performance

ENDEVCO Corporation has developed a Dynamic Pressure Sensor for use in high temperature combustion monitoring. The sensor is designed to work continuously at 986oF/530oC with intermittent 1040o/560oC. The unit is mounted on the combustion chamber and provides critical information related to the dynamic environment in the combustion zone.

Information derived from ENDEVCO’s Dynamic Pressure Sensor provides the user with critical data to effectively analyze the efficiency of the combustion process for proper fuel-air mixture in order to attain optimal engine performance. With the ability to fine tune turbine performance the operator is able to reduce emissions and identify issues regarding engine performance for maintenance scheduling. Seamless fuel transition is an additional benefit for those dual fuel applications. Hundreds of units have been installed for over three years in large industrial gas turbine applications, and have demonstrated hundreds of hours of continuous operation with no reported failures. Endevco also supplies flexible high temperature cables to simplify installation.

Founded in 1947, ENDEVCO Corporation has grown from a small research and development firm to an International corporation supporting customers with a global network of manufacturing and research facilities, sales offices and field engineers. Headquartered in San Juan Capistrano, CA, ENDEVCO is the world's leading designer and manufacturer of dynamic instrumentation for vibration, shock and pressure measurement.
