PhD position on Nano Fluidics. This project will concentrate on developing technology and devices for biomolecular analysis. The research will concentrate on the detection and separation of particles in sub- 100nm channels with the ultimate goal to detect and identify single molecules. Technology will be developed to fabricate nano-fluidic devices with embedded structures for single molecule detection and manipulation. Detection fundamentals and manipulation methodologies are studied and judged on their applicability. Based on this fundamental knowledge and technology, devices will be developed to explore analytical applications as well as to serve science in studying nano fluidics and single molecular behaviour. This multi-disciplinary project will be carried out in collaboration with the Bio-Physics and the Bio-Chemistry groups of the university (vacancynumber ATEWI 2005.20) |
