SGA Strain Gauge Amplifier

The SGA Strain Gauge Amplifier from Celsum Technologies is a flexible, reliable and cost-effective instrument for conditioning the signals from your strain gauge based transducers (including half-bridges), producing two stable analogue outputs (current and voltage) in user-selectable formats. It can be configured to accept most strain gauged transducers, reducing the need to stock several different amplifiers.

Models are available for operation from a mains power supply (SGA/A)† or from DC (SGA/D). The SGA has an adjustable low-pass filter, and allows simultaneous voltage and current outputs. A version is available for conditioning LVDT transducer signals, too.

Key features of the SGA:

  • Connect up to four 350-ohm transducers in parallel

  • High Performance

  • 3 Year Manufacturer's Warranty

  • Sensitivity from 0.1 to 30 mV/V

  • Simultaneous voltage and current output

  • Outputs ±10V, ±5V, 0-10V, 0-5V, 0-20mA, 4-20mA

  • Low pass filter 1Hz to 5kHz

  • Offset up to ±70% of full scale

  • Simple calibration

  • No interaction between Gain and Zero Offset

  • Simple DIL switch settings - Output Mode/Sensitivity/Filter

  • Accepts half- and full-bridge transducers

  • Built-in excitation

  • Mains† and DC-powered versions available

  • Mains-powered version can also be run from DC power supply

  • Robust single-card PCB

  • Surface mount components

  • IP65 ABS field case with cable glands

  • Available cased or as PCB only

  • Full CE Approval

  • Saves cost and space

  • Generous quantity discounts available

  • Easy to use

  • Ideal for OEM, R&D, Production, QA, QC applications
