Photoelectric Sensors based on new SmartReflect Technology

Baumer introduces photoelectric sensors with the new SmartReflect technology for absolutely reliable object detection. These light barriers recognize objects of any kind and do not require a separate reflector or receiver. They increase process reliability while reducing operating costs.

SmartReflect light barriers offer the safest and most convenient type of object detection due to the barrier principle. Contrary to diffuse or through beam sensors, the light beam is created between the sensor and a machine part when using the SmartReflect light barriers. Separate reflectors or receivers are not necessary. For a successful detection color and material of background and objects do not matter.

For different applications with different requirements the user can select from various sensor configurations. The portfolio ranges from subminiature sensors for automated handling to sensors in hygienic design for the food and beverage industry. All SmartReflect sensors excel with a comfortable teach-in and an adjustment mode, which facilitates alignment and setup.
