Special Issue of MDPI
'Chemosensors' journal on 'Optical Chemical Sensors
and Spectroscopy':
Call for Articles
Message from the Guest Editors
Dear Colleagues,
The field of optical chemical sensors has been a growing research
area over the last decades, finding increasing application in industry,
environment, monitoring, medicine, biomedicine, and chemical analysis. The
recent developments in this area are driven by such factors as the availability
of low-cost, miniature optoelectronic light sources and frequency-output
detectors, the need for multianalyte array-based sensors (particularly in the
area of biosensing), advances in microfluidics and imaging technology, and the
trend toward sensor networks.
This Special Issue 'Optical Chemical Sensors and Spectroscopy'
will include extended papers from both annual IFSA conferences,
7th International Conference on Sensors and
Electronic Instrumentation Advances (SEIA' 2021) and
4th International Conference on Optics,
Photonics and Lasers (OPAL' 2021),
but we also strongly encourage the conferences' participants to submit articles
for this call. Authors of selected high-quality papers from the conference will
be invited to submit extended versions of their original papers (50 % extensions
of the contents of the conference paper) and other contributions.
Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited
to, the following:
-
Optical chemical sensors;
-
Optical transduction;
-
Spectroscopic sensing;
-
Imaging;
-
Optical absorption;
-
Luminescence-based sensors;
-
Fluorescence-based sensors;
-
Interferometric sensors;
-
Fiber-optic sensor platforms;
-
Diode laser sensing systems;
-
Sol–gel-materials-based sensors.
