Part 2. Smart and Quasi-Digital Sensors Sate-of-the-Art
Abstract. At first, highest demand and fastest growing sensors types are shown. Then from the six sensors signal domain classification point of view a review for different frequency, period, duty-cycle, pulse-width modulated (PWM), pulse number output sensors is given. The smart and quasi-digital state-of-the-art includes: temperature sensors, pressure sensors and transducers, accelerometers, rotation speed sensors, intelligent opto (light and color) sensors, humidity sensors, mass variation chemical, gas and biosensors, magnetic sensors and others (tilt, torque, level, flow, conductivity, etc.) as well as multiparameters sensors. This lets to formulate main requirements for modern sensors systems.
