Aleshechkin A.M. Increasing the reliability of radio navigation parameter estimates in the radio navigation systems with phase sensors


The article examines ambiguity resolution algorithms for phase shift measurements with reference to Krabik radio navigation system equipped with a signal phase shift sensor. The probability of the phase ambiguity resolution is calculated for various metric frequencies. The recommendations on frequency plan correction are made which ensure higher reliability of radio navigation parameter estimates.

A concept of new infrastructure for modern megapolis is offered. It is virtual and augmented reality systems with unlimited region of the user movements. The existing positioning systems are analyzed. Positioning accuracy requirements in urban conditions are defined. The size and electrical parameters of the components of the system proposed are evaluated. The properties and the advantages of the new information field are described. The components of the new system and its operation are described. Possible applications are outlined.

The device, based on ion mobility spectroscopy technique, for detection of ultra small (trace) explosive concentration on human fingers and documents is described. Various methods of surface heating for increasing detection sensitivity are analyzed. The sampling unit based on the application of a flash gas-discharge lamp for heating is designed. Experimental data on the detection of 3 explosive types are included.

A new metrological approach to the analysis of modeling accuracy concepts is offered. Its idea is the propagation of maximum possible experience accumulated in metrology over modeling. The paper discusses the concepts of modeling adequacy, accuracy, and error and offers the classifications of modeling types and errors. With case studies of voltage-reference diodes and delta-sigma modulator modeling, it shows how the concepts introduced contribute to modeling adequacy improvement.
